VIII SICARM International Contest of Digital Animation

   The “VIII SICARM International Contest of Digital Animation” is aimed at promoting the use of New Technologies applied to the creation of digital contents and to discover new talents in animation, wich may be awarded up to 6.000 euros.

   In this edition there are new categories that extend the theme and technique of the competition.

   All works less than 30 minutes in length and created by any 3D digital animation tecnique are eligible for entry in “Animation Short Films” Section. Best two jobs will be awarded, the first prize is 6.000 euros, and the second prize 3.000 euros.

   One of the novelties of this edition is the category of 'Virtual Heritage', which aims to promote cultural heritage through 3D digital animation. The prize for one winner stands at 3,000 euros.

   It is also new the category '3D-stereoscope ', for works created entirely in stereoscopic format using the latest audiovisual techniques. The prize for the winner is 3.000 euros.

  Finally, the category 'Digital Post Production in the Region of Murcia' has 3 sections: film or tv spot; documentary video, corporate, tv program or video clip, and graphic or stings. The prize for each issue is 1.000 euros.

    The submission deadline for the contest will be the 21st of March, 2011, at 14:00 hours.
